Alumni Scholarship
The purpose of the CCHS Alumni Association Scholarship is to recognize and award a graduating senior who has:
1. Contributed to a positive school environment through academic performance and various forms of extracurricular involvement including activities such as sports, leadership roles, student council, and various other clubs and programs,
2. Demonstrated a commitment to community involvement and service, and
3. Exemplified a positive image of Charlotte Catholic High School to the church and community.
To qualify for the award, an application must be completed in full and emailed to Jennifer Johnson at jbjohnson@charlottecatholic.com by May 10, 2010 (please title your application using your LAST NAME). The recipient must have completed all requirements set forth by the school, and be eligible for graduation. In addition, the student must have been enrolled at Charlotte Catholic High School for at least two school years.
The award of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) will be presented at the senior awards ceremony and will be payable immediately to the student’s account at the college, university, or advanced educational institution of his or her choice. The award will not be payable directly to the student.
The selection committee will be comprised of Alumni Association Board of Directors. All information provided by the student will be confidential and limited to the selection committee. Academic information is subject to verification. Additional information provided by the student may be verified as deemed necessary by the selection committee.
Selection criteria will include consideration of the following:
Scholastic Achievements
Sports Involvement
Leadership Activities
Club Involvement
Drama/Musical/Band Involvement
Awards Received by Applicant
Community Service and Involvement
General Essay Response
Additional consideration will be given to an applicant whose parent or parents are alumni of Charlotte Catholic High School.
